Policies & Pricing
Pricing for Counseling Services
I am currently accepting new
clients in person at my Boulder, Colorado, office and via Telehealth. My rates are $170 for a 50 minute session for
individuals or $185 for an 50 minute session for couples. The rate for an 80 minute couples session is $250.
Appointment Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel or change an appointment, please let me know at least 24 hours
in advance. Violation of this policy may result in a cancellation fee and affect the availability of future
appointments. Any in-person appointment can be changed to a virtual Telehealth session up to an hour before the
appointment without any additional charge.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate for Services
Under the Federal No Surprises Act (H.R. 133, effective January 1, 2022), you have
the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" (GFE) explaining how much your medical care will cost. You can request a GFE of any health care provider with whom you are not planning on using insurance of any kind (including out-of-network coverage). A GFE is for your information only. It does not require you to make any type of commitment to receive care for any length or frequency of sessions.
LGBTQIA+ Affirming and Culturally Competent Therapy
I aim to provide a safe enough space for all individuals and am on a lifelong journey to unpack the internalized biases transmitted into my mind and body by the dominant cultures in our society. Thus, I am not only an ally for LGBTQIA+ individuals and people holding any minority identities, but also an advocate for your needs and rights as a human being. You do not only deserve a space to process the trauma caused by societal injustices, but that you deserve someone to support you in finding ways to set up new structures in your life that minimize the impact of ignorance on your well-being.
I actively encourage open dialogues around my blind spots and any areas that I may need to explore to continue my excavation of harmful beliefs. If a client wants to work on their own biases, I am happy to support that process, but this does not need to be the focus of our work together. Additionally, I emphasize that it is not the client’s role to educate me, only to inform me if I have caused a rupture in our relationship, so I can take ownership of my actions, learn from my mistakes, and engage in a repair process to create a more solid foundation for your healing.
Medicaid Disclosure
By law, if you are a Medicaid patient, you must seek a Medicaid provider for
treatment; non-Medicaid providers cannot accept payment for services regardless of your ability or willingness
to pay.
