Counseling Services
I work with individuals and couples using a variety of therapeutic approaches to address my clients' needs. Beginning in 2025 I will also be working with groups. Below are general descriptions of my approach to counseling individual and couples. Please contact me if you are interested in discussing how we could work together to address your issues or concerns.
Individual Counseling
I specialize in working with people who identify as neuro-divergent, have experienced trauma, and want therapy that not only addresses their mind, but also carefully holds their body, heart, and soul. This could mean you have received a diagnosis within the category of neurodivergent or you simply feel that your brain works differently than others. I identify as a highly sensitive person and know that “small things” can create big sensory feedback loops in my body. Therefore, I am motivated to work with you to cultivate spaces that support your personal preferences in order to feel safe enough to process your experiences. As a trauma-informed somatic therapist, I encourage people to build a relationship with their bodies; however, the pace and ways in which that unfolds are completely up to you. If you feel intrigued and overwhelmed by that proposition, you are not alone. We can move ever so slowly in the direction of meeting your internal landscape and guide you in the direction of profound transformation.
Relationship Counseling
I work with monogamous and polyamorous couples using a social-justice informed attachment lens, incorporating both emotionally focused therapy and sensorimotor psychotherapy techniques. Couples who come to therapy have fought hard to use their tools in the hopes of saving their relationship, but our culture does not always provide people with adequate information to feel safe in our vulnerability. That’s why therapy can be an essential step in recovering from relationship ruptures and resentment. Together we can build a container to share vulnerable feelings and repair deep seeded wounds. I bring in body-based interventions to support your whole being in showing up and feeling validated in your experiences. I support neurodiverse couples to work through challenges in communication styles, personal preferences and needs, sensory overwhelm, differences around executive functioning, and expressing empathy. Together we can co-create a space for deepening in understanding and respect to generate more love and pleasure in your relationship.
